As the trend lately seems to be for speed art - and there are some astonishing examples on dA - I thought I should have a crack at it.  The title, Ten Minute Monster isn't strictly true, because I allowed myself another couple of minutes to add some highlights and textures and a few more tentacles.  However, I started with a blank digital canvas, and absolutely no idea of what I was going to draw.  That this should come from the imagination of a middle-aged man is perhaps worrying, but it's fun, and I hope you like it.  I might do a few more.  Oh, by the way, this was done in Photoshop 4.0, using only the toning and smudge tools.  Some of the textured brushes are ones I made myself.
